Xi Calls on Newspaper to Unite Intellectuals around CPC

President Xi Jinping has called on the Guangming Daily to guide intellectuals rallying closely around the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Xi, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a congratulatory letter on the 70th anniversary of the launch of the newspaper.
